Almost 10 plays later and I'm still not tired of it... but is this the comeback single we've all been waiting almost 3 years for? Some say it still sounds like the old New Young Pony Club but in a less playroom pop and more basement indie band way.
Honestly I don't care, their sound seem to have matured and basic is not a bad thing if it was well constructed and balanced with the right amount of synth and sparkle, if anything their approach towards a more textbook feel of sound is brave and admirable as this kind of thing can easily go the wrong way and be perceived as underwhelming and commercial.
The NYPC vibe is definitely there and let me tell you, this bass driven song is:
A. Catchy.
B. Catchy.
C. Catchy.
