The Great Ecstasy Of James Rutledge

Artists don’t just get approached by Radiohead & be asked to do a 4 hours remix of one of their track, but they did & they chose James Rutledge for the mission, it was Videotape. Rutledge never disappointed me once when it came to his remixes, this English bloke knows how to control his Melodic choppiness & furling synth, and is not afraid to sprinkle some 8-bit goodness here and there.

Beside his latest remixes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Esser, and Fever Ray's Triangle Walks (which I heard Fever Ray is utterly happy with), he managed to wrap-up a new album titled The Great Ecstasy Of James Rutledge released on the 20th of April in Cassette & Download formats - Apparently it will appeal to the followers of Black Dice, Growing and Fuck Buttons.. you be the judge by streaming it here!

Bombay Bicycle Club - Always Like This (James Rutledge Remix)
Esser - Headlock (James Rutledge Remix)

More:
MGMT - Electric Feel (James Rutledge Remix)
The Kills - Last Day Of Magic (James Rutledge Remix)
Burning Pilot - Accelerate (James Rutledge Remix)
Telepathe - Devil's Trident (James Rutledge Remix)

This also reminds me of Tim Hecker for those of you into experimental ambient stuff.
