If you haven't heard yet, Basement Jaxx premiered their comeback single Raindrops & talked about the new album on Pete Tong 2 days ago! The yet untitled album will have possible guest vocals from Grace Jones, Yoko Ono, Sam Sparro, Cyndi Lauper, Santigold, and Yo Majesty - so it should be safe to say that this could become the next blog-hype-thing after Tiga's (now leaked) CIAO!!
Raindrops features vocals from the Jaxx's own Felix Buxton! The track is sort of what Calvin Harris was probably aiming for with I'm Not Alone but failed to achieve (quality wise), it probably is their most pop sounding dance song since Romeo - and if this is any indication of what the new album will sound like, then someone hit me with a pre-order link right now.

OMFG. Its about damn time they freakin come back! But this is a major dissapointment. They are taking a major pop turn. The last album "Crazy Itch Radio" was fun, but pure electro coated pop sugar.
They lack the grime and dirty house electro combination they had with the Atlantic Jaxx compilation and the classic "Remedy" album. The exact grime which establsihed their loyal fans.
Huge dissapointment. It seems their trying to cater to a wider audience. :/
well its just the first single...ive heard a few of the songs that are supposed to be on it and theyre definitely not that "sugar coated". its gonna be awesome trust me.
i loved i'm not alone, and the vocals for raindrops are going to inspire some intense remixes
Ohh! Crapp...This is GOOD! great comeback single.
Damn I Like it! :D
Looking forward to the album with a line-up like THAT! :O
yea, it sounds less fun than last album, but it still dancy though
ok
disappointing.....
AMAZING!
Heard it on Pete Tong, amazing song!
That cover looks like a promo for a Hawaain-themed sequel to Twin Peaks. Just sayin'
Amazing... and the remix potential. I missed Basement Jaxx glad they are trying to make a comeback
They are riding on there reputation to keep them afloat. This is seriously crap...
<3 <3
disappointing? crap? get your fuckin' heads out of your ASSES! the best part about basement jaxx is that they don't cater to ANY audience... please tell me who they're catering to with 3 singing fat bitches, 2 live drum sets, and them both playing live instruments while dressed like a jeremy scott fashion show during their live performance...jaxx are by far one of the most daring and experimental groups this "electro house" music scene has ever seen, while the lot of their release predates any of this bullshit going on right now (ed banger included).
