I'm not sure I'm psychologically prepared for March, at least 5 super good albums are going to be out during & let's not forget all the singles scheduled for then! I still have tons of albums lagging unheard from late 08 & now the queue of 'Albums To Listen To' will become longer... & that's how I end up discovering great album months later that I already own but never played.

Above is a hilarious 9 minutes official staged interview with Röyksopp, where they talk about Junior, the vocal guests & preview to us a few tracks from it. If you're already psyched about the album, this video will double your excitement, I promise. PS.

Burns sure sparked some interesting reactions from the public ever since Linus Loves put faith in the dude & decided to sign him up to his label Breastfed. You might need some memory refreshing with remixes here & here - while he's working on finishing an LP with Mylo, check out DISKO, the first of 4 singles that he will be releasing this year!

Burns - Disko (Radio Version)
Burns - Disko (Extended Version)

...& as usual, goodies from my inbox & friends:

Curses! - The Deep End (Holy Ghost! Day School Dub)
Ladyhawke - Back Of The Van (Build Remix)
David Bowie vs. MGMT - Stardust Kids (A Plus D Bootie)
Red Blooded Women - Enjoy The Silence (Heads We Dance Remix)
La Roux - In For The Kill (Hostage Remix)
Radiohead - Reckoner (James Zabiela’s Tweezers on a Towel Rail Remix)
Empire Of The Sun - We Are The People (The Happy Clam Remix)
The Robot Disaster - Guitars Are Overrated (Neo Tokyo Remix)
Tiga - Mind Dimension (The Bloody Beetroots Remix)
The Proxy - Raven (Crookers Remix) (Radio Rip)
Lily Allen - The Fear (Automatic Panic vs. DJ Cat NYC Remix)

Remixes to be added, Keep Checking back!

That hostage remix is an absolute tune. Thanks again.

I'm not sure about the Hostage take on La Roux. I must say I enjoy the Skream version much better. Aside from that, The Happy Clam looks like a sure killer, can't wait for the mp3 to complete. Thank you!

That was the best form of music promotion I've ever seen! I didn't know Royksopp were so funny, too! :) The style of humor reminds me of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!...or more specifically, the talk show they used to have on SuperDeluxe.com called Tim and Eric Nite Live (because it was a talk show format, too). LMFAO!
And thank you for all of the tunes as well!
Tomorrow is my birthday, and while I go on a day-long bender in celebration, I will have some kick-ass music to drunkenly sway to! :) Thanks Faisal!

Haha, that video was brilliant. I must say the track that intrigues me the most is You Don't Have a Clue, sounds very promising. Can't wait for the album.

Bowie is certainly one of MGMT's most pronounced inspirations, so it makes for a great mash up.

And Empire of the Sun may be the most remixed band around.

That Royksopp video is legendary already. wow. my excitement is overflowing.

It's my birthday coming up and though I've been following it, there are too many releases I'm excited for that I keep seeing pop up, making it difficult for me to remember. List the five you speak of so I can ask/demand them for my birthday?

may i ask what the '5 super good albums of march' are? :)

Bastille said...

For that Crookers radio rip, they mix into this really dope house track. What is that?

Sly Syl said...

Remix overload! But I love the Holy Ghost! remix.

I've also noticed it's only 1:30.

For Bastille, i'm pretty sure the track mixed with the crookers track is louis la roche - sunshine hotel. A really cool up-un-coming dj.Trying to bring french house back. Too much like funky house for my liking, but he seems pretty good.

Anyone who can get that tune is some sort of god like ubermensch, cuz its impossible to find anywhere!

(also fj, how about some lovin for that?!?! its up to 15 now!)

I was also having the problem with the short Ladyhawke track, thanks for upping it anon.

Also, the Ziggy Stardust take on the Kids track is pretty nice. I enjoyed the La Roux track. I like the Skream version more still, but both of them I think are actually nicer than the original.
