Modernaire

http://i34.tinypic.com/awojgi.jpg
Manchesteranian Modernaire is an electro-pop outfit is one of those music formations that I despite discovering them early this year, I still can't decide whether I'm actually liking them or if they're just a matter of an OK off-pop-band/group-thing (that sort of pop music that supposed to sound all DIY & not all quite right & polished); It's a tricky concept where you could end up thinking you're liking something that is deliberately sounding off when it actually is off... now this doesn't mean I'm referring to these guys here with that nonsense i just blathered about but I know it will take a future official release with remixes & maybe a video to deliver the whole gig & help me decide what I really think of them.

On the other hand I really appreciate their remixing efforts & I bravely can say their remix of Metronomy was actually better than a couple of the official ones!

I've been in touch with Oscar the man of Modernaire for a while now & he's been working on an MGMT remix that he just finished few days ago - It catches the MGMT essence by slightly raising up the quirk bar, drugging the bassline with ketamine & throwing in bits of drowsy disco funk for a good measure.

Might not hit you from the first play but it's a good thing if it did.

MGMT - Of Birds, Moons & Monsters (Modernaire Remix)

Also as a bonus here's a remix of Video Villain (who were the other 2/3 of Dead Disco, Little Boots' old band)!

Video Villain - Low (Modernaire Remix)

You can find their Metronomy 'Heartbreaker' remix here!

Heads We Dance

http://i34.tinypic.com/2vai6j8.jpg
Heads We Dance are no newbies to Ohh!Crapp... i actually posted about them back in January & decided to pass the new single The Human Touch post since almost every blog (if no all) i know have thrown a post for it but HWD cleared the Charlie Faclub remix for us to share, so here it is!

Their new single, The Human Touch is out now on Ltd 12" and as a FREE Download! The download is a FREE Digital Bundle which includes The Human Touch, You Are Never Alone With Model 21, remixes by Sidechains, Charlie Fanclub (Work It Baby - Kris Menace Label), Louis La Roche and neOn, as well as their own very special sci-fi mixtape featuring their favourite galactic classics. Metal On Metal

http://i36.tinypic.com/ei85lh.jpg
Metal & Metal have officially rust covered an impressive list of tracks for blog friendly names including Bloc Party, Wax Stag, Kissy Sell Out, New Young Pony Club, Datarock & Blood Red Shoes.

They are getting very close to releasing the new single & video (probably next week) to Damn the follow up to No Front Teeth (my official theme to reckless driving in 08) - while we wait you could have this instrumetal version of their remake of Polarkreis 18's current #1 hit (they say) in Germany Allein Allein!

Little Boots Likes Giving On Thanksgiving!

http://i34.tinypic.com/nm1biw.jpg
We've accustomed to getting all sorts of free media goodies from Little Boots ever since she bloomed as a solo outfit on the www medium & tonight instead of sending out a virus infected flashcard with a dancing turkey to wish you a happy thanksgiving, the visual couture pop tart is giving away 2 brand new remixes of Meddle & Stuck On Repeat for your absolute pleasure in 320kbps!

Little Boots - Meddle (Joker Remix)
Little Boots - Stuck On Repeat (Alexander Robotnick Remix)

And as a bonus, here she is performing a cover of Dancing Therapy in her living room with new Italo heartthrobs Heartbreak, especially for their Automatic Lovers UK tour which finishes in Leeds tomorrow night. nice.

Who Made Who?

http://i34.tinypic.com/2ez46er.png
WhoMadeWho (wiki) are back with the the first pre-release single TV Friend a shot of electro-dance-disco-pop-indie-rock or whatever this bastard genre is called these days, it's taken from their upcoming album The Plot dropping around March 09 - they have that weird quality about them that makes it easy to like them, they're kind of a more organic version of Metronomy or a band that could be BFF with the now deceased Big Face.

The video should make it easy for you to decide whether to love or hate, it sure did help me:

WhoMadeWho - TV Friend (Hot Chip Radio Edit)

Proppps to their label Gomma for the 320kbps mp3 of the Hot Chip edit!

PS. If anyone knows the band directly please ask them to send the parts of the song to Metal On Metal for remixing, I think the most perfect rework could come out of it!

Wow Hot Band!

http://i33.tinypic.com/sxcacz.png
Oh! is an amazing track from the band i got to discover through the latest Kitsune Compilation 6 'The Melodic One' the same label these 3 Londoners are signed to! Disco-Rock sums it up - check this amazing video of Oh!, it's the reason why i fell in love with the song:

Their label is awesome enough to give the remixes out for free in 320kbps, I've compiled all of them for you in one post.

We Have Band - Oh! (Andrew Friendly Remix)
We Have Band - Oh! (Plugs Remix)
We Have Band - Oh! (Gentlemen Drivers Remix)
We Have Band - Oh! (Micachu Remix)

Update:
As promised by the label, More Free Remixes:

We Have Band - Oh! (Singleton & Stop Making Me Remix)
We Have Band - Oh! (Dessous Chics' Oh La La Remix)

Yes, We Have Band!

Where We're Gonna Go?

http://i34.tinypic.com/nxo0mh.jpg
Whether this is a remix or a cover or a combo of both, it is the best god damned rework/cover I've heard so far this year, it's a tune in a form of nostalgia pills to be taken at every chance when feeling perky. God knows how much i love Lykke Li & the refresh factor she brought upon the indie scene with her vulnerable pop - I think she's one of the few artists along with LOTP who others remixes of their tracks can be guaranteed to be good almost every time.

Check out her take on Knocked Up from Kings Of Leon's previous album, the vocals are equally charming as Au Revoir Simone's on the Aeroplane remix of Friendly Fires!

Listening to this reminds me of roasting marshmellows on lavas.

Kings Of Leon - Knocked Up (Lykke Li vs. Rodeo Remix)

I'll add this to my funeral theme songs list.

SMD Deer Hunting.

http://i38.tinypic.com/i3tmdw.jpg
See Octet is from Deerhunter's Cryptograms LP which Simian Mobile Disco reworked & then the label decided to give it out to everyone in 320kbps for free because it's the perfect theme for independent movies about pedophiles who hang around playgrounds with rusty rides to reminisce, something we'd watch just because its wrong.

Ambient indie rock with electronic swooshes & screeches.

Deerhunter - Octet (Simian Mobile Disco Rework)

This one goes straight into your iPod, amazing tune for hospitals waiting rooms.

It Was Taken Away!

http://i34.tinypic.com/2u8uijm.jpg
Don't think anyone noticed but I wasn't around for almost 3 days because the damn telephone company took away my internet for 'suspicious over usage' or whatever they fabricated to cover up their shitty faulty system problems.

Anyhow, during that short blackout I managed to clean up my desktop & arrange my mp3 folders which led to finding 22 remixes of Digitalism's latest single Taken Away (that much exists because Digitalism started a remix contest weeks ago) - anyhoo, out the 22 remixes i was only fond of 5 that i really think are good, one of them which i kept playing to my friends and fooling them into thinking it was a Shinichi Osawa remix when it's Tokima Tokio - haha!

Digitalism - Taken Away (Bufi Remix)
Digitalism - Taken Away (K.I.T Shoegaze Mix)
Digitalism - Taken Away (Koltrez Remix)
Digitalism - Taken Away (Lalory's Modern Romance Mix)
Digitalism - Taken Away (Tokima Tokio Remix)
ps. There are tons more than 22 remixes of the track on the internet.

In other words, I'm back & expect to see lots of posts later today and in the coming few days!

Missed Call...

http://i36.tinypic.com/11r6mpt.jpg
Something i hate remembering came back and bit me in the ass today; in the past 3 years i suffered from an internet blackout for about 20 to 25 months where i was moving permanently from Dubai to Bahrain & had to hotel-hop from one to another before settling again in my childhood apartment here; but that's not the sucky part, it's the fact that during that time great amounts of releases came out, mostly comebacks from bands & acts i love including The Rapture, who i missed every remix & b-side they've released through their Pieces Of The People We Love era... then 10 minutes ago my friend moans on msn saying "I can't believe the FreeformFive remix of Sexyback was never officially released!"

My response: WTF!?

Him: Here check it out *Send Mp3*

Me: OMG this is fucking boombox bass shit, I Love!

Justin Timberlake - SexyBack (FreeForm Five Remix)

I wish i could go back in time and illegally download every album, remix, single, ep i missed but I'm stuck in the present time where mainstream is slowly making it way into dressing up as indie & faux artists such as Lady GaGa being spawn, I seriously despise her & think she's the scum of the earth, I wonder how her trashy single Just Die Dance became such a huge hit... she's a piggyrider, an image borrowing marketing object. She just sucks energy & aesthetics off legends such as Roisin Murphy a term of 3rd degree copycat who's just a bubble sparkling under strong power consuming spotlights. - Pop already?

Lady Gaga - Poker Face (Space Cowboy Remix)

I only posted that remix because i kind of missed Space Cowboy & because his recent remixes are starting to sound Crookers-ish in a microscopic manner.

If any of you kids own any of The Rapture singles, plz hit me with an email.

CSS Pushing Buttons!

http://i36.tinypic.com/2qwfyxc.jpg
I was really pissed when her latest album didn't include Buttons considering it as a promotional/hype pre-album kind of thing, when in reality it was the best song from that era - later on Sia's management/label got their brains back from the garage & decided to give it a test drive, & the result is impressing, Buttons is included in later pressings of the album & soon will be released with remixes by Chris Lake, Jimmy Vallance, Markus Schultz & CSS who splashed a dazzling claps queue all over if with their now mastered abilities to balance guitars with their signature samples n loops!

Sia - Buttons (CSS Remix)

ps. I didn't know Kris Moyes (Kim Moyes 1/2 'The Presets' brother) directed the Buttons video - no wonder it's weirdly great!

Stolen Merchandise.

Allow me to declare my utmost hatred for migraines, that disease that simulates the sensation of a leech feeding off your brain, it's here & it won't go away & i won't blog again till it's gone.

Until then, here's a bundle of fairly new postage i snatched off my friends' blogs for you to feed on.

Shazam - Pool Party (Rogerseventytwo Remix)
Eine Kleine Nacht Musik - Feuerprobe (Rory Phillips Remix)
Little Boots - Meddle (Ebola Remix)
Sneaky Sound System - When we were Young (Sinden Remix)
Noonday Underground - The Light Brigade (Cut Copy Remix)
Mr. Oizo - Gay Dentists (JFK Edit)
Sébastien Tellier - Roche (Breakbot Remix)

Bonus:
Miami Horror - Make You Mine (Instrumental)

I know you love me, XOXO.

Cut Copy met their friends Damn Arms after midnight in china town & decided to dance in the rain since they've got their best disco outfits on & all - fun!

02 Far Away (Hercules & Love Affair Remix)
03 Far Away (Damn Arms Remix)
04 Far Away (Golden Filter Remix)
05 Hearts on Fire (Aeroplane Pop Mix)
06 So Haunted (Knightlife Sun-Soaked Reprise)

M.E.S.S. 2.0

http://i35.tinypic.com/2e1ema8.png
Could someone tell me what's wrong with this Justice photo (Above)?

Fluo Kids interviewed Lilly Allen yesterday & she told them something worth Yaaaaying over!

Fluo Kids: What about remixes of the new tracks?
Lily Allen : There's actually something coming up with Soulwax.

I'm treating 3 lucky kids with (Digital Purchase/320kbps) Miami Horror new BRAVADO EP, all you have to do is leave a bizarre sentence of 3 words on the Ohh!Crapp.... Facebook - weirdest 3 will get the mentioned goodie. Good Luck!

If you ever wondered what A-TRAK & Joi Starr are like if deprived from food & sleep - this video should give you a hint..

The king's son of Bahrain (where I live) is suing Michael Jackson for 7.000.000$!

http://i36.tinypic.com/1z2zytg.png
To the left is the cover of the album you know by you know who & then next to it (right) is the cover of the soon to be released Greatest Remixes album by Good Charlotte... meh.

Ladyhawke - My Delirium (JBAG Hot Pop Remix)
Tiga - Mind Dimension (Crystal Castles Remix)

No.. not really, but i wish they'd remix it - on the other hand Tommie Sunshine did for real.

Tiga - Mind Dimension 2 (Tommie Sunshine's Class of '89 Remix)

This was dropped into my inbox & for some reason (boredom) i decided to give it a shot - verdict: unexpectedly awesome! Very Shinichi-Osawa-esque.

Digitalism - Taken Away (Tokima Tokio Remix)

LCD Soundsystem is no more :(

Human After All!

http://i34.tinypic.com/2h81q12.png
I hate the Human remixes package & I was a little bit disappointed by Ocelot's effort since his previous remixes have been nothing less than extraordinary & all Oceloty... I don't know if Human is not remix friendly or the label requested something super commercial... anyways, Ocelot also made an alternative live edit that saves the retail version by scraping whole lots of the original vocals & runs the rest through a vocoder similar to the one from Daft Punk!

The Killers - Human (Ocelot Remix - Alternative Live Edit)

Illumination Rawks!

http://i34.tinypic.com/nla1bd.png
I don't think Miami Horror can ever go wrong, starting from his remixes to his originals to his MySpace layout, logo & now this wonderful new press shot (above) pleading to be cropped and used as a wallpaper on my Phone/iPod Touch!

As you all know his new Bravado EP is out now & if you're not the CD ordering kind of person then i encourage you to get it off 7Digital for a happy meal price of 3.70$, Illumination is going to blow your head off - it's EPIC, I'm crazy about it just as much as i am about Beni's My Love Sees You & that's pretty serious business (though the 2 tracks don't have anything in common beside being fucking fantastic/addictive).

Beni - My Love Sees You (In Flagranti Remix)

Get 100% Remix Drunk!

http://i34.tinypic.com/2cp9t2t.png
Bacardi did it again, another gem & another batch of free great remixes to enjoy; this time its the closing track from Chromeo's latest effort Fancy Footwork reworked by dudes from one half of Chromeo's brother A-Trak's label Fool's Gold.

I'm surprised we didn't do this earlier! Chromeo is my brother with our childhood friend, Fool's Gold is my label... It's only natural to get Fool's Gold producers to remix Chromeo. Yet it took Bacardi to make it happen. Bacardi's B-Live program brings you these funkier-than-thou remixes of the slick album closer ‘100%’. You all know Treasure Fingers from his infectious two-stepper ‘Cross The Dancefloor’ and multiple remixes as of late. If you're up on your new releases you probably heard Nacho Lovers' inaugural and timeless single ‘Acid Life’. And to flip things a little we recruited Bay Area rapper-slash-producer Trackademicks, whose single ‘Enjoy What You Do’ is just about to drop! Start downloading.... NOW. -A-TRAK

Chromeo - 100% (Treasure Fingers Mix)
Chromeo - 100% (Nacho Lovers Mix)
Chromeo - 100% (Trackademicks Mix)

Also, if you've danced to A-Trak's recent sets, you'd probably been hunting that Chromeo remix of Vampire Weekend he's been playing; fortunately your searching duties end here.

Vampire Weekend - The Kids Don't Stand A Chance (Chromeo Remix)

All hail to Fool's Gold!

J'Tame Impala!

I know 60s Psychedelia is not even remotely close to being the hot genre of 08 but there sure is some space on my iPod for some quality music of everything else beside electro, though my fondness for Tame Impala extends beyond plain listening sessions, especially with a label like Modular funding their aesthetics projections & accessories which in the case of this post is an amazing animated music video that withholds tons of wish-i-had-this-on-a-T-shirt frames!

I've read on numerous blogs & forums predictions of a strong psychedelia return in 09, god knows what their assumptions are based on but i sure hope it won't really happen because one good band is already too many.

Their self titled EP is set for release on the 1st of December through Modular Records.

1. Desire Be, Desire Go
2. Slide Through My Fingers
3. Half Full Glass of Wine
4. 41 Mosquitoes Flying in Formation

Hot Chip - Touch Too Much (Fake Blood Remix)

Bonus:
Cut Copy - Far Away (Hercules & Love Affair Remix)
Freezepop - FrontLoad (Designer Drugs Remix)

Also, If you head over to Amazon, you can preview snippets of the whole Britney 'Circus' Album!

I'm off to BBQ today, these shall be played to death!

R.I.P.

Los Angeles Police believe that Paula Goodspeed died of "suicide by overdose" after the 30 year-old's body was discovered in a car parked near Paula Abdul's home.

It is understood CDs and pictures of Abdul were in the vehicle, while Goodspeed auditioned in front of the singer and her fellow judges during the fifth series of 'American Idol'.

Sad :(

J.A.H.C.B.

http://i38.tinypic.com/29e27oy.png
Jackson (Jackson And His Computer Band = J.A.H.C.B) has enough technipowers to claim a throne among remixing gods, most notably for his drum machine torturing & muffled static chaos fetishes, but I think what makes his powers even more valuable is the fact that he doesn't throw reworks for others left & right at the presence of cash which makes the rare occasion of hearing a destruction by the dude, an occasion to celebrate!

This below is his first remix since his probably the best existing official remix of D.A.N.C.E. & it's not any less seizuring than the former!

Panico - Illumination (Jackson Remix)

Refresh your memory!

Miami Horror 'Bravado'

OMG, someone found a VHS tape of Miami Horror performing Don't Be On With Her from 1983 (Best Watched In Fullscreen Mode)!

http://i37.tinypic.com/24mxd09.jpg
OMG the Miami Horror EP is finally going to see the light, Bravado has to be my most anticipated EP of the year, & you better save some cash on the side because its coming out on November 15th on Virgin/EMI! It will be available on CD in Australia and through Beatport/iTunes online for other countries..

The CD package will be available as an import around the world until it gets released world wide in stores early next year, and you know your life won't be complete without having it physically in your collection of records & compact discs.

The EP will consist of 5 all original tracks, 3 never been heard before – I was lucky enough to get some free preview sessions throughout the making process of Bravado; there's one epic track that somehow reminded me of Danger's synthesized mystery but then received a bunch of changing treatments that led the final tune to formulate into a dark disco Midnight Juggernuats kinda thing, then there's another 2 one is an authentic 80's flashbacks inducing instrumental & then the track you all will be waiting for, the standout track & main single Make You Mine, a happy & light dancefloor friendly super disco house tune that will raise some eyebrows and drop some jaws for it's surprise factor alone.

The new Don't Be On with Her have been slowed down ever so slightly, revamped with a new into & features vocals of the dude from the Australian Pop band Peacocks - and the new mastered Summerfest '86 will definitely bring the stadium right into your bedroom for those pretending-to-be-a-rockstar daydreaming sessions!

EMI will soon provided us Bloggers with a proper quality 128kbps mp3 of Don't Be On With Her for us to share free of charge!

It's the new version with the vocals of Josh Moriarty from singer & guitarists of Peacocks, Young and Restless, Rise and Demise and 1QA!

1. Don’t Be On With Her (New EP Version)
2. Summerfest ‘86
3. Make You Mine
4. Bellevue
5. Illumination

I've been partially (virtually) following Mr. Miami Horror through the journey of making this EP & he literally put his sweat and sleep hours into it; this is a fruit of a year's work and deserves to be appreciated Legaly!

for now you can preview the whole EP through the Widget above.. Ohh & the official Miami Horror Remixes page is now up!

Those of you who plan to purchase this EP, say I!

BURNS

http://i38.tinypic.com/2ivbtp4.png
This is one of those rare cases where someone like Linus Loves would contact me saying "Hey I've Just Signed A New Artist I Think You Should Check Out" - that artist being Burns a 22 Years old lad from UK who likes amalgamating the chaos of nu-rave with the chic compressed french house that results in a shards covered goodies.

Artists like DJ Mehdi, Fed Falke & Mylo have already shown love and support for the dude!

Burns - Alternate
Burns - Make Love

He's done remixes for Wiley, BodyCrash & Late Of The Pier - the latter which we will be blogging pretty soon (Bathroom Gurgle).

^^ As Promised:

Late Of The Pier - Bathroom Gurgle (Burns Remix)

Yummy Shazam!

http://i34.tinypic.com/vo5yyg.png
Hello kids, today our sweet snack is packed & manufactured in the sparklyest, killingest continent on our earthly map.. AUSTRALIA!

Following the super delicious OZ snack from 2 weeks ago, current Ohh!Crapp... A-lister Shazam wants everyone in the audience to have a fresh 320kbps copy of his to-be-stuck-on-repeat Sneaky Sound System remix!

Sneaky Sound System - When We Were Young (Shazam Remix)

If you go one post down, you'll be able to download a track he produced that X & Hell laid vocals on, but I personally prefer the instrumental which i was planning to get permission to share with you guys... the bad news is, I Can't... the good news is, the instrumental version is called Luckier & will be released though an EP on Bang Gang 12" in January with Pool Party, another version of Pool Party by him and remixes from Hey Today! and Rogerseventytwo.

Luckier can be streamed now on his MySpace!

Shazam Matters!

http://i35.tinypic.com/if4npw.png
I never thought I would ever like any 90s dance rap song post 00 but if it's produced by Shazam then you should surely know that ignoring is not an option.

X & Hell - My Fkn Hat (Produced by Shazam)

X & Hell’s Don’t Stop Movin is the first single from their second album, Million Dollar Sex Party (out through Illusive/Mushroom in 2009). Co-produced by Styalz Fuego (Chamillionaire, Sneaky Sound System) and features actual vocals from 90’s dance-rap outfit the Outhere Brothers.

X & Hell – Don’t Stop Movin (Dirty)

The instrumental version of My Fkn Hat is pure joy, I'll try to get permission to post that... but for now explore X & Hell!

Excuse Me, But...

I'm going to be lazy today & will probably spend it all being a forum delinquent, watching series episodes I missed & listening to albums I kept telling myself I'll listen to later when later came!

Even though I kinda don't talk to Futurecop! anymore since they never reply to my messages/emails lately + giving another blog the M.I.A. remix when I kept asking for it for a long time before that... a good tune is a good tune & this official mash-up is so worth posting.

Futurecop! vs. Robbie Robb - Transformers Time

Have you guys heard that new Britney track that leaked!? Ohh & someone told me Goldfrapp, Ladytron & Sia (among others) are working on the next Christina Aguilera Album!?

Last Single Off Nights Out?

http://i36.tinypic.com/idybso.png
Bacardi gave 4 of the remixes for free, including the best out of the bunch Breakbot remix back in August & it's now been confirmed to be the next single soon to be released with additional tweaks from Sinden & Nightmoves.

MONTEVIDEO

http://i35.tinypic.com/2hq72gz.jpg
Renaud, the art director of Dirty Dancing Club in Brussels (where Aeroplane, The Subs, Compuphonic and 'himself' Cosy Mozzy are resident DJs) sent me a remix he made with Compuphonic (who btw remixed Anywhere the next single from The Presets) of a great track by the band Montevideo.

Apparently, they are the most exciting Belgian disco rock band right now! Actually, they're signed to PIAS and this remix is only available on the limited edition CD in France... now you can enjoy it in high quality & for free.

Montevideo - Sluggish Lover (Compuphonic & Cosy Mozzy Remix)

Yo!

Doing Funky Again

http://i37.tinypic.com/ns5ud.png
I'm so glad DFA stopped sand papering their brains while staring at the dirty cash mainstream labels offer & got their composure all boxed styled & intensely intact again, because they've just delivered one of their rarely purely DFA'd remixes since their gum cum lamination of the Toxic Siblings' The Boxer (a triumphant in the book of amazing post-millennium remixes);

Funky is weird again, and complicated means changing drum coordination every few seconds with all sorts of wacky sounds popping out of nowhere, making sensible nonsense but without neglecting the loud flushes of 1-up synth lifting the tone at ever semi-drop, it's the art of turning bluegrass into thrash for all the wrong reasons and coming up with something completely politically correct.

Clinic - Tomorrow (DFA Remix)

I want more of this spontaneous/quirky/playful DFA cool & non of that WTF-generating Justin Timberlake remixing loser DFA.

Clinic will release "Tomorrow" on the 24th November. The single will feature the DFA remix and new song "Hijack".

Anoraatronomy!

http://i34.tinypic.com/5tuzgy.jpg
Yo! If you haven't heard yet, Anoraak launched his official Remix MySpace few days back & uploaded his new remixes of Metronomy & Junkie XL to the player - as usual a news post about a remix always includes a remix & here you can download the Metronomy one in 320kbps courtesy of dear Anoraak!

Metronomy - Heartbreaker (Anoraak Remix)

For those of you who didn't know, Anoraak release a mini album (limited to 1000 copies only!) packed with emotional synthetic melodies to satisfy any Nightdrive With You fan and provide you with proper french panache - get your copy here (Highly Recommended)!

I'm In Love With This (For All The Wrong Reasons)!

I Wanna...

http://i34.tinypic.com/zt7iow.jpg
I've been keeping Ohh!Crapp... a Minitel Rose virgin for god knows what reasons but not anymore, because they've transformed the upcoming single from Of Montreal album Skeletal Lamping into a crystallized synth wrapped version of Destiny's Child's Survivor for the 80s sound lovers!

Frenchies Minitel Rose were awesome enough to hook me up with a 320kbps version for mass sharing!

Of Montreal - Gallery Piece (Minitel Rose Remix)

Also make sure you check out Pegase In The Sky the solo project from the singer of Minitel Rose!

Last month Jo from Neon hooked me up with all 8 official posters of A Cross The Universe & I sort of forgot about it... then few minutes ago the dude received this remix by the canadian duo VNDLSM going by the moniker AutoErotique of the utterly-remixable Little Bit by Lykke Li... So, I thought i would throw both goodies into one post & here we are!

Lykke Li - Little Bit (AutoErotique Bootleg Remix)

Oh & don't mix up VNDLSM with Australian trio Vandalism they're tottaly diff acts.

Also, If you still only have Planisphere in parts - I posted the whole 17:38min track in 320kbps back in September so here's a bump to that.

Joakim & The Disco?

http://i38.tinypic.com/5zr7rq.jpg
Could this newest Joakim song be an intense ray of light carrying hopes of another concept album to cherish and love? I really don't have a clue, especially with all the mystery surrounding it!

Like why on this track his name is followed by another 'Joakim & The Disco' ? Is he making music with a mystery fellow musician? or is it him & his new best friend 'The Speech Simulator V2.0'?

The answer is: NEITHER!

Joakim & The Disco is his stage name when playing live accompanied by Mark Kerr (drums), Maxime Delpierre (guitar) & Juan Deguillebon (bass).

There aren't any solid facts at this point as it's still too early to speculate - Love & Romance & A Special Person is a fresh rip off the Versatile 2008 Promo... but seriously, if this is any hint of what he's aiming at (proper band record) then I'm in love.

It sounds like a Gay Mr. Oizo making melodic disco for a dating service TV ad!

Interview 'Frankmusik'

http://i33.tinypic.com/s6m4gp.jpg
Before I start asking you about anything else... Dude what's the truth behind that whole "I'm Quitting Music – FRANKMUSIK is Finished" drama from couple weeks back? Did your MySpace really get hacked like PopJustice said?

My main vice in life are girls. I let one really get to me the night I wanted to stop all the music. I just heard 3 Little Words on Radio 1 (BBC) and I thought to myself that it just seemed so out of place with everything else that was on the radio. This lead me to think in my drunk state that I might as well give up instead of failing in the public eye. I have a lot on my plate right now from the workings of my live show to finishing the record and I think my problem is that I have to deal with all this on my own. The joy of being a solo artist really rings true in moments of loneliness. I know my job is an odd one and sadly I don’t have “Band” mates to full back on and my family don’t really get what I do either; so I am in my own head most of the time. This is not very good when I over think everything all the time. So the concoction of all of the above with a lot of booze in me just compounded the idea that I should just jack it all in. I said my account was hacked while I worked out what I really wanted to do with myself. Even the next day I was not sure if I wanted to carry on. I never cry and that night I cried more than I have ever done which scared me allot. I met with the label the next day and they just wanted to know what was going on and they were massively supportive and made me realize that there is a lot to fight for in all of this. Now I am just trying to stop my own insecurities about many things in my life get in the way of what I’m trying to do creatively.

It was seriously a nightmare, I'm so glad you have your head back together now. Speaking of nightmares, what are your pet peeves?

My pet peeves are community support officers and people who insist on trying to be the funniest person at a party.

I've probably mentioned & asked you this countless times already but you never answered once – I'm not sure what's your current marital status but why the hell haven't you asked Little Boots out yet? You should seriously skip the dating process and get married!

Ha ha, girls again! I have known Little Boots for about a year or so now and we hang out as and when we can. She is wicked fun. I think if I ever made a move then that might just about ruin everything between us. We did a few tour dates together and so many guys were trying their luck with her. Considering this, I didn’t want to become another embarrassing statistic. We are just good friend that’s all. Marriage would most definitely ruin that.

But you've just indirectly admitted that you fancy her!?

Who wouldn’t!

Do you think we'd see the day where you'll be making music with her?

I have two tracks that I made with her many moons ago. I don’t think I am allowed to put them out. But they were fun and we had a great time making them.

By the way... I read ages ago while researching about you for a piece I was writing, that you posed for a Gay magazine! True?

Yep. I have done it twice, both times I have been completely naked. The first one was to do with eating disorders within the young gay community and it's and severely overlooked the issue really is. I think the next time was just for kicks. I have no problem being in Gay magazines considering a lot of my friends are Gay. I also have no problem being naked at any stage in my career seems as I have nothing to hide. Thankfully the one big insecurity I have managed to get over is how much I don’t like my own body. That was a big one for me, but now I am foot loose and fancy free on the subject of my nakedness.

SWEET, Which magazines?

This should cover everything you are looking for, or look here & here.

I also have to say that it's sad that the media never addressed eating disorders issues with the guys; the stereotype image of anorexia/bulimia is always passed on as a girl….

Yeah it is so pathetic. Mostly the female media do very little to curb the images of skinny and young women.

One of the most exciting announcements recently was your Jacques Lu Cont collaboration... how did he come into the equation? Tell us about the dude…

My A&R guy Louis Bloom really wanted us to work together and so he sent Stuart some tracks and I think he just got it in a big way and said yes to working with me. Stuart and I first met in a bar called Jaguar Shoes in East London with my manager. We were basically wearing the same outfit and that pretty much set the tone for the whole time we have been working together. We are like carbon cut outs of each other with a 10 year gap between us. He is a bit of a genius really. He really gives me the same amount of freedom that I had when I made my demos. He just makes sure in his opinion that it all sounds tight as hell and adds some things that I wouldn’t ever think of. He is also mixing the record too. It’s going really well and we are nearly finished!

Ooh were you guys wearing Lego t-shirts under zebra skin overalls? (Sarcasm)

I don’t get it ha ha!

How's the progress of the album coming, please tell all there is to tell?

It will be an eleven-track album with a secret track at the end. There are going to be a few surprises on there but I think what is even more exciting is that we have done a lot of other tracks on together that won't be going on the album but will be released as exclusives and B-sides. We have done some really out there versions of original tracks. I think the biggest surprise will be how ‘Confusion Girl’ now sounds. It’s completely different. At one point Stuart and I had our studios back to back in the same room. That was a sight for saw eyes.

When do you expect to release it & will there be another EP after 3 Little Words or you'll be going for the album after that?

I think the vibe is to get one proper single out in January and tour through January and February. The album will then drop in March I think.

This is a total fan greed question, but how come there aren't tons of remixes of 3 Little Words? We kinda expected an army of them since you've remixed for a lot of cool bands & artists!?

What I do for other people is generally my own creative soul screaming to do some work. I get paid for some remixes but I mostly just ask if I can do them with money or no money. Obviously not everyone is as generous as me.

Care to list your remixography for us?

Telepathe, Chromeo, ClikClik, Death Can Dance, Paul Weller, Furthest Drive Home, GO:Audio, Heads We Dance, I Haunt Wizards, IAMX, Mika, Remi Nicole, I Was A Cub Scout, Goodbooks, David Swinburn, Dead Disco (Little Boots Ex Band), Alphabeat, Barringtone, Butterflies On Strings, Black Ghosts, CSS, Teef, Bloc Party, Radiohead & remixes of my own ‘In Step’ & ‘3 Little Words’.

Currently remixing/finished remixing for anyone?

The Bleeps will be getting my remix treatment. I am also working with a singer called Elle Goulding and I will also get some more things finished for a Grime act called Tinchy Stryder in the near future.

We really loved the homage to Tom Hanks' BIG in the video of your newest single – It's so rad… Take us behind the scenes through text & was that giant keyboard built specially for the video?

The marketing director at Island Records loved this idea but I wasn’t sure how easy it was going to be to get right. Especially considering I had to dance in it! The keyboard was especially made for me and it was so scary when I walked into the TV studio and it was just sitting there in all its glory. The choreographer was a legend. She made me feel really at ease and stuck at it with me and was very patient. The shoot was a very long day but we got there in the end. The dancers were cool too. One of them goes out with one of the guys from The Mystery Jets. I am really happy with the final edit and I have learned a lot of things from the whole experience from my general use of performance to never dancing again.

And did you get to take the keyboard home with you?

Yeah it is in about 50 pieces in my garage. I think Universal want to put it in their foyer.

Who's responsible for your amazing artwork?

A guy called Alberto Seveso who is quite a genius in his field. The album is called Complete Me and everyone thought his work really summed that up in many ways.

Your album is titled Complete Me!?

That’s right. It is supposed to ask many questions. Who is it completing? Me? The listener? Or is it a complete version of me? You decide.

What about that Boys Noize collaboration? It's being described as a 'Stranglers - Golden Brown' rip off & some say it doesnt sound like his remixes… how much of it is Boys Noize?

I think this has slightly been marketed wrong. I had always thought Alex was just doing post-production. But its been called a remix by everyone. I did most of it and Alex made it sound good I guess with a decent mix and a fat bass line and beat.

This is totally random but what do you think of the ever growing number of secret identity music outfits? Any idea who Fake Blood could be, some say it's you?

I myself will be doing a secret project very soon and it’s going to be crazy. I have this huge act that I am going to completely mash up. We will put out three tracks and that’s it. But you won’t know it’s me and the other guy!! Oh and yes I know who Fake Blood is. I wish it was I but sadly it isn’t, I am sworn to secrecy by my management.

So far everyone's convinced for many reasons that Fake Blood is actually Theo Keating… anyhow, will that secret project of yours see the light anytime before the end of 08?

It might just... *Grin*

Finally, What would you like to dress up as for halloween?

I would dress up as a transgender Palin.

Sassy!

MONSTER MIXTAPE #15!

http://i33.tinypic.com/9fvd5l.png
Nervously sat momma's 40 years old boy with his expressionless face, tanning in his dark room behind his PC screen after midnight, while thinking of those arousing American Apparel colored briefs packs with a greasy tanning oil bottle in hand; when all of a sudden a flesh gashing shrill comes from outside his bedroom and kills his masturbating appetite, followed by a second of ants deafening immense silence before the million candles strong spiraling red alert lights started nauseating everyone under the sky; The whole population started vomiting & ejecting shit in every direction, life advanced partially in slow motion and in turbo for the rest… biohazard lasers came out of the fridge and the fruits started to evaporate, mixing their particles with the vegetables in the lower drawer making the eggplants induce a thick purple burnt wigs like smelling fumes that melted the ceilings down; next thing everyone is side running with their backs to the walls & mothers are crying with their milk squirting boobs pointed to the stars, moaning with satisfaction while the crystals are shoved up their clits by the fags; The nuns rolled on the floor along with the flaming blanket covered gas cylinders down the hill, the men stuck their eyelids glue and ran towards the concrete walls with their heads down & the thieves kidnapped the babies to sell them to the pedophiles who turned them into baby juice & mixed it with vodka to water their marijuana plants, in hopes of speeding its growth so they could get high and not sober suffer this catastrophe, but the golden cannons are penetrating the windows and shooting their 900 tons lava balls at the walls exposing everyone. The police are sawing everyone's penis, there is no where to run or hide, & no one could save the world except John Locke who needs to enter the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 into the cum stained obsolete computer in the hatch, but unfortunately Hurley ate John and died, because the old degenerate's flesh expired and now no one can make it to the hatch in time because the giant dinosaurs from the UFOs farted on the planet & the sand has turned to acid quicksand... then the Devil became a ballerina and said if someone could make me a Monster Mixtape that is worse than shit and can be entertaining for my night Little Pony rides then I'll clean my mess up… I think I just saved the world or placed a full stop to the end of it - Happy Halloween.
