Guess who's finally releasing a new song after a over 720 days of M.I.A. status - Jaunt! There have been only one dual track EP back in 2006 titled Traveller EP on Kris Menace's label Work It Baby who by the way co-produced side B Travelling from that EP!

Priors is a duo combining the homesick vocals of Yann Destal from Modjo & french electronic cloud stable production abilities of Kitsune's Raw Man!

Chestnuts roasting on poops on fire & little drummer boys giving mommy a migraine - Christmas is cool but not when you have traditional music on all day all night it kinda craps the festivity .. plus, it sure kills the chances of enjoying a spiked eggnog.

In early 2006 (i think) a 1 minute Kudu demo appeared on their MySpace titled 'Red Light Green Light' but then suddenly disappeared... I really wanted that song to be on my Xmas mixtape that year but it didn't, next year i wanted it again & also couldn't get hold of it, this year i decided to say 'Fuck It' & the nice duo known as Kudu decided to throw the mastered version my way - So, finally 2 years later I can do what i wanted to do 2 years earlier.

"Yes, the track is unreleased but is on hold with our label. They are a small label that we dont belong on and they dont function very well for the type of music we do. They try but we are just not on the same page or even the same book. whatever with the blame game, we just dont have maximum backing for the kind of pop songs we have given them. they are like this vocal-less international world/ jazz music lable...ugh!!!

I admit that in the past i have ignored Yuksek, mainly because at the time he was getting more famous i was getting a bit less interested in the whole french electro scene but his newest EP Tonight is just the best shock treatment for such a withdrawal!

The Tonight EP is probably the soundtrack for the clubs owning mafia who secretly run illegal robot fights at their warehouses, it's very mechanical & digitally organic (oxymoron) - I was expecting total distortion dullness but it is actually packed with proper songs that are a bit electronically stronger than usual, love each one of them... specially Tonight which sounds like the Bloody Beetroots mashing Kap10Kurt with Air!

Is it just me or Aeroplane's remixes actually keeps getting better with every new release? We should give out a round of applause for Friendly Fires' great thinking... I already like the album version of Paris but the band Aeroplane decided to scrape out the original vocals & replace them completely with new ones for the re-release remix & let's thank god in our prayers tonight that they didn't ask Lady GaGa to do that but the graceful & ravishing chanteuse Au Revoir Simone (god bless her vocal chords) who with her presence on the rerecorded track have turned it into a potential candidate for one of the greatest songs remixes of the year!

I like how the Australian genius kids are sticking out for each other, most recently when Ted & Francis remixed Empire Of The Sun making the Australian goodness even more Australiener!

Again Ted & Francis were there for another fellow OZ music makers, this time Ted (Rhys) lent his cuddly boyfriend material vocals to Bag Raiders for the B-side 'Shooting Stars' off their latest EP 'Turbo Love'.

The track itself sounds like a ride on a shooting star into space, extravagantly overwhelming, star dusted & therapeutically euphoric - I can't explain what the bass sounds like on this gem, but i guess if it was eatable then it would be hot fudge.

I've already at many occasions in the past have declared that the vocal version of Shooting Star is one of the best 20 tracks of 2008 simply because it's cosmically epic before anything else.

I've held back posting this for a while, respecting Bag Raiders wishes & last night they personally gave me the green light to put it out here for you all to devour & enjoy in all of its vocal & synth glory!

Truth to be said, I didn't think Breakbot could've taken his game any further than the candy floss electro flush we've acclimated to - but I've been proven wrong in this case where Mr. Breakbot garnished Digitalism's Apollo-Gize with a scattered hazardous guitar solo, Jacko's Thriller like ominous bassline, Metronomy's creepy quirky synth & heaps of Boys Noize-esque intense distortion sprays.

Cicada Are Back With A New Single - Hallelujah!

The million dollar workout club band are finally back 2 years later & this time they're actually considering taking the band approach even more seriously.

Foals Massacred In Tokyo!

I'm sure Neo Tokyo doesn't need anymore introductions through Ohh!Crapp... having his amazing remix of Womanizer heavily downloaded & making it to the top 3 of Hypem Popular - I'm seriously watching out for him in 09, since he's still in his early days & yet have not found his signature sound, but it is a mixture of distortion, indie rock & 80s synth!

His latest remix of Foals' Electric Bloom might sound like a sampled loop form Justice's Phantom II in the begining but if you hold your breath for a little while you'll get tot he part where the electro kicks in and adds the Neo Tokyo-ism to the remix, just like it says its a chainsaw massacre of distortion cutting guitar chords with electro!

Death By Crystal Castles (UPDATED)!

English alternative post-punk indie band 'White Lies' gets the 8-bit Echo-&-Distortion treatment for their second single 'Death' (released on September 22nd through Fiction Records) from the yet untitled upcoming album!


I prefer the original over the remix The remix aggressively grew on me & it's is actually a fresh take form a CC prospective, not crutching on 8-bit - *Adds White Lies to 'Bands to watch out for in 08' list*.

Spank Me Away On A Javeloplane!

You'd think their previous outfit names would be something like Helicopter or Rocket but no they used to go by the names Javelo & The Spankers... I'm talking about Aeroplane!
Knowing that they also make music under The Spankers smudges the airbrush off the luxury surrounding their music but still once their sounds make it into my head it manages to shut me up every time I try to say something negative about it.

As usual a post being made at 10:55AM means this amigo have been awake all night & probably just sealed a jerk off session, which means I'm too tired to give a shit who the original track is by or venture into a virtual research (although you should – it probably is a decent tune) – All you need to know is that Aeroplane does what Stuart Price does, make awesome music but separate each style under a different alias & this is the case here.

Despite the over hype at some of my favorite POP blogs & websites over the new Sugababes album that leaked over the other night - I played the album once and over again & didn't sense the supposed to go crazy over material - Girls was a weak comeback single & I'm sad to say that it's not even the worst song on the album, & i prefer the Fred Falke remix over the original... if you're one of the ppl who resent the Sugababes & were thinking 'Hmmm there should be an instrumental of that Fred Falke remix' then your prayers have ben answered, coz i've got something close enough, the Dub (the vocal mix is the one for me).

I'm not sure if the album will grow on me over time (although i highly doubt it), but i'm pretty sure that my Sugababes obsession is over, or at least paused.

Gosh, I don't know how this post is going to make any sense but I'll try my best to explain it without leading you to needing treatments for cross eyes – I'm going to start from the beginning… well, after publishing the I♥Röyksopp post I realized I wasn't the only one who's totally head over heels for their luminous melodies; & a bunch of emails came in later that day thanking & declaring ones love for the Norwegian due - & then there was this wake-up-there's-more-to-them email from a Finnish graphic designer/illustrator-photographer Miika Saksi who knows quite a lot about Annie & Röyksopp's history (being a fan himself) - attached to his email was a zip file that contained a spring pressed jewel filled boxing glove that knocked me off with joy (including spiraling stars around my temple), it got me totally OMG-ing – I never knew Röyksopp remixed a J-Pop song & the late discovery makes the I'm-so-happy feeling even stronger for now I have an old brand new remix to enjoy!

It's probably the only remix with the The Understanding era style - soft & crunchy at the same time!

Well, that track is produced by Pehrson & Brundtland (Flam Blondie from Röyksopp) & the vocals are by Annie; unfortunately the version on DJ Kicks is only 3:40 (mixed with other tracks intro/outro) when the original is 5:32 & no where else to be found (physically) – Surprisingly, I hit my Windows XP search engine for Geared Up & voila there it was in an ancient folder from the P2P (Kazaa, Limewire….etc) days & it's in its full 5:40 min glory!

I didn't know the United States is 3 days ahead into the future than the rest of the world!? Atleast that's what Nyteowl's MySpace Blog says.. they've had blog entries up from 11th of October 2008 when it was only the 8th here!

With that kind of accuracy, I don't know if This should be considered new or old news??

Nyteowl published yesterday a bulletin announcing that they've finished an OFFICIAL remix for Crystal Castles to be soon released on upcoming Air War Remixes 12"!

I know that there is a Crystal Castles remixed album being put together, but not an Air War 12"!?

Moscow Olympic Airways!

I hate it whenever a new name pops up in the blogosphere that can't be traced to it's owner, Bitchee Bitchee YaYaYa, Golden Filter, Fake Blood (Theo Keating?)... and now we have Moscow!!?

He's from the UK (or probably pretending to be) & has a sound that fits not better under nay label other than DFA, the smooth dubby kraut-esque extended goodness feature is truly tangible & if i try to close my eyes my guesses for the potential real identity would include Tim Goldsworthy (The Loving Hand), Ewan Pearson, Aeroplane, Andy Butler (Hercules & Love Affair), Holy Ghost!, Boozoo Bajou & the list goes on!

There should be clues scattered around his MySpace that I probably didn't notice, but he's seriously one to watch for now that you now about!

Below is his remix of new Foals single Olympic Airways but unfortunately he handed the homework in too late, and it got excluded from the release. which is a shame because it's a 10+ minutes of pure dark electro disco house funk.

Infusion Are Back!

Whenever someone asks me something similar to 'What's is the most amazing chill out song ever made that doesn't repeat the same lyric line twice & makes you emotional and all?'

Immediately I answer saying: Daylight Hours by Infusion (Australian Electronic/Dance-Rock act signed to Sony BMG).

But that was in 2004 & they've been inactive ever since - Last month I contacted them asking if they were still alive & they replied back saying they've been working on a new album due for release later this year, the first single being Dogtown!

Dogtown is a piece of sports games soundtrack fitting song that mixes guitars with electronic beats & sounds but most distinctly focuses on manipulating the vocals with a crunchy throaty the-grudge-like effects!

I don't think this is the best they can do, I'll hold my judgmental though until the album is out - I just feel like Dogtown is one of those songs you keep on your iPod to add it to long playlists for those freetimes but not something to go all mental for + the single cover (above) is just plain hideous.

Really dont know why i havent posted anything about Telefunka, a mostly-instrumental group who started their success with Brillantina video being played in some music video channels over here.

This is a band from Guadalajara, Mexico. so they add this little touch of weird instruments, although, their sound is really common in some ways, 'Zenit' has something unique.

Hope you guys like it, for some peaceful moments when wee need a calm-instrumental track.

Gosh I can't believe soon we will be enjoying another album by Tiga, he's sort of my semi-anti-mainstream male version of Britney Spears (hype wise) - ever since the title Mindimension appeared on his MySpace I installed a super search plug-in into my head & started looking for it like a rabid sex addict looking craving a piece of meat - finally someone uploaded a video of 2ManyDJs playing it at Parklife where i got my first taste of the track & I can now officially say that my need for the proper HQ 320KBPS version of it has gotten worse.

Tiga's new album is being produced by Soulwax & doesn't have a release date nor a title yet, first single being Mindimension.

We all by now know that FRANKMUSIK has Stuart Price working with him on his next LP, behold an even more exciting piece of news/download on blog standards - the track below is not a Mash-Up nor a Remix, it's a complete studio collaboration between FRANKMUSIK & Boys Noize and from what i heard the whole process was apparently very loose and very natural & it fucking shows through the track!

FRANKMUSIK invited Boys Noize to his giant Lego midevil castle for a showdown & after the big collision their armors melted and they became one while the shiny metal shards & sparks fow and glisten in super slow mode - later they came up with this in the stone studio!
