Duffy is almost certain to be chosen to sing the theme song for the forthcoming new 'James Bond' film 'Quantum Of Solace', according to reports.

Britney Spears) is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album," her label, Jive Records, and her manager said in a statement to the Associated Press - "She's working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters and we're very excited about what she's accomplished so far. No album release date has been confirmed yet," they said.
Feist has re-recorded her global hit single '1234' and filmed a new video for it – with
The Muppets. The singer is set to appear on an episode of '
Sesame Street', due to air in the US in August, and has recreated her acrobatic, Olympic-inspired video with the puppets. She has also written new lyrics for '
1234' which includes the new chorus: "I love counting/counting to the Number Four". Watch

Lily Allen has released a brand new track online that she admits won't feature on her second album because she's "ripped off" Take That. '
Who'd Of Known' is being streamed on
MySpace. Writing on her blog,
Allen explained: "I have put up a song that won't make it on the album. I ripped off the chorus from Take That and I can't be bothered with the paperwork."

Jarvis Cocker has revealed that his second solo album will be much heavier than his debut, 2006's '
Jarvis'. The singer is expected to hit the studio this year, but claimed his album will likely not be released until 2009.
Pete Doherty has announced that he will complete the recording of his debut solo album this month and release it later this year. He will travel to an undisclosed European studio this month with producer
Jake Fior to finish the album, which is now over half complete. Songs set to feature on the album include

Withdrawn And Shaken'.
MSTRKRFT's as-yet-untitled second album, is due Oct. 7 via Dim Mak - although
MSTRKRFT has largely avoided doing remixes while working on the upcoming album, the duo just finished a version of
John Legend's "Green Light" featuring
OutKast's
Andre 3000. The track is the first single from Legend's next album, due in September via G.O.O.D. Music/Columbia.
