I admit that in the past i have ignored Yuksek, mainly because at the time he was getting more famous i was getting a bit less interested in the whole french electro scene but his newest EP Tonight is just the best shock treatment for such a withdrawal!
The Tonight EP is probably the soundtrack for the clubs owning mafia who secretly run illegal robot fights at their warehouses, it's very mechanical & digitally organic (oxymoron) - I was expecting total distortion dullness but it is actually packed with proper songs that are a bit electronically stronger than usual, love each one of them... specially Tonight which sounds like the Bloody Beetroots mashing Kap10Kurt with Air!

Yuksek was generous enough to let me blog the Kris Menace remix of Tonight - It's different from the usual Kris Menace, has a glassy sharp acid flush & abandons the trademark munchy elastic beat & replaces it with a faggy disco grind that fades out every now and then for the turbine mechanism & chimes to prowl - one of those edgy remixes that depends on a compound of various electronic modulations in a short time - it kinda creeps me out when listening to it in the dark, & that's probably why I love it even more.
