This is one of those rare cases where someone like Linus Loves would contact me saying "Hey I've Just Signed A New Artist I Think You Should Check Out" - that artist being Burns a 22 Years old lad from UK who likes amalgamating the chaos of nu-rave with the chic compressed french house that results in a shards covered goodies.
Artists like DJ Mehdi, Fed Falke & Mylo have already shown love and support for the dude!
♫ Burns - Alternate
♫ Burns - Make Love
He's done remixes for Wiley, BodyCrash & Late Of The Pier - the latter which we will be blogging pretty soon (Bathroom Gurgle).
^^ As Promised:
♫ Late Of The Pier - Bathroom Gurgle (Burns Remix) ←♥
His debut single coming in the new year - for now enjoy these & give him a shout out on his MySpace.

10 Say Somethings.:
Burns was on tour with Calvin Harris in North America, he's his "bro" according to the rider.
His set was weak to say the least.
Hopefully this is better than his DJing
Ughh that sample in Alternate is looped through the whole track. Annoying :(
I saw him in Toronto a few months ago it went off
Can you post his LOTP mix??
I watched him in Vancouver and he tore that shit up. Everyone went mental.
I like this alot
is this frikken serious? the sample in alternate was one of the biggest house tracks about 3/4 years ago.
I wish i knew what the sample was so i could point out how stupid doing this is.
1. if you knew someone just used it and it was HUUUUGEEE why would you do it again?
2. How smart could you be if you didn't know that you were using a sample that someone just used..
3.. Maybe he even stupidly actually sampled the house track im talking about...
I cant be bothered going to check but is it..
DAVID -Gus Gus or the track mixed into it on ministry of the sound comp?? Either way something strait off minitry of sound 2004/5
oh my god, and he samples a POPULAR prince track, LYRIC.. sampling prince is totally fine, but a popular track and even the LYRIC? Prove yourself first. this is not disco house. Linus Loves probably doesnt read blogs much and realise there is like 20 people that are doing the exact same thing, the same thing being mediocre sample tracks.
Just to clear up any confusion. These tracks were just edits/ bootlegs I made to play out-- It’s always fun to drop an anthem in there! :)
They are not official Burns releases and never will be.
Thanks,
Burns x
(The sample is from Altern8- E-vapor8, hence the name of the track…)
uhh Ben, above, its all well and good coming on like an indignant prick, but if you don't recognise the sample in Alternate as being from Strings of Life, then you literally dont know shit about dance music. It kinda undermines everything you're saying. The track wasnt just big 3/4 years ago, it was big 20 years ago.. It really doesnt come much bigger to be honest.. I say fair enough to anyone who wants to wheel it out again, its a massive riff.
Shame on you Burns for not picking that up either... still, your versions pretty dope, which is all that really matters isnt it
