I used to love getting all the free (and pointless) 3" singles they were sending out - and that 5 track EP. I actually bought "Heaven" on the 7" vinyl, and the last two digital releases...they should stick to SELLING things, rather than giving them away.

^^ I don't think sticking to selling unhyped about singles would help them gain higher album sales later - although giving al the songs for free and ten ending up with a an album that we heard half the songs off of it already doesn't do any good either. lol

I think that's the problem (sadly), the songs have the potential to be huge...but there is no label interest behind them, haha. In my opinion, with the right people, they would have a variating level of success. They're very "pop but cool with the indie crowd" - see: Girls Aloud, The Ting Tings, etc.
And they are DEFINITELY one of my favorite bands, as you guessed, haha. I got into them when they released their first album here in the States - the production's a bit "darker" than their new stuff, but still flawless.
I'm sure you already know of it though, you seem to be the most knowledegable person about that kind of stuff on the net!

but you have very good point there, ts their management i'm sure.. if u noticed their photoshoots and videos are more fitting for a band like backstreet boys than them!
Imagine lorraine with artowrk and videos like the presets.. u won't say no to something like that..... righ tnow, they look like cowboys who sing the wrong genre.
probably their label is force shaping them into mainstreamers.
AHH, the clothes, the photos, the videos have t change.. and they better start gettin gproper ppl to remix them.. the only really good remix i can remember is the Cicada.
i think u and i ca do a better job fixing their career than their major label.
