This is a totally random post of 'first time things' that were on my mind after my first glass of water and packet of monster munch crisps this morning, I still can't get over how much i was impressed yesterday after finally giving into the 2004 'The Machinist', I've had the DVD lying on the floor of my wardrobe ever since i rented it from god knows where in 2004 (lots of friends talked me into not watching it, calling it a stupid movie) & last night (out of desperate boredom) I decided to give it a peep... Now, its on my favorite movies list, not only it beats 'Secret Window' by miles when it comes to its psychological intensity but it hit me hard to see how beautifully anorexic Christian Bale (The Dark Knight/Batman) had made himself (he starved himself for 4 months & ruined hi body just for this role)!
It's a rare thing when a movie seeds some fear in me while watching & actually succeeds in bringing out the gloomy side of me to the surface - I don't want to burn the movie for those of you who haven't watched it yet, but i urge you to get it asap because its just brilliant & will definitely get you depressed after watching it - insomnia condensed.
After that, i turned off the DVD player, the AV channel switched to 'All Music' & i saw for the first time Kaye West's video of 'Flashing Lights' that is remarkably Grindhouse-Planet-Terror-esque cheesy brilliant:
I rarely watch videos, unless its for a song or by a director that i like... so don't start with the (OMG this is so old i-know-everything boasts)...
Finally while writing this i didn't notice that FRANKMUSIK's MySpace tab was open on Firefox & an awesome track that i haven't heard before started playing, & for some reason a Polaroid popped into my head of him & Little Boots making out.. I seriously think they are a good match Music/Personality wise! Love both, god bless em!

Yeah, this is def my fav Kanye vid... its also my fav track form his latest album. :D
The Machinist is one of my favorite Christian Bale movies. It is very disturbing to see his dramatic weight loss(which shocked the director because it wasn't required for the role). He said he drank a lot of scotch and smoked cigarettes and ate sardines or something like that. The Kanye vid is cool as well. He has an eye and an ear for whats hot and then takes it to another level. Definitely my favorite song from the album...Love the FRANKMUSIC song as well. Its going straight to my iPod.
actually it was required from him to lose weight but Christian took it far.. 120lb ... an dhe wanted ot go even down to 100lb but the director prevented him.. i read somewhere that he for 4 months only had a cup off coffee everyday with either an apple or a can of tuna!
now that's dedication!
The frankmusik is catchy as hell, on my ipod aswell :D
