Matthew Dear 'Don and Sherri' Hot Chip remix

I am in sort of a minmal mood today so lucky for me that I have just what the music doctors have ordered. The genius behind such aliases as Audion, False, and Jabberjaw is Matthew Dear. He has dropped an intelligent dance record called 'Asa Breed' recently on Ghostly International. This record crosses the usual genre bending we have seen from labels like Modular, Ed Banger, DFA and in this case aforementioned Ghostly International. This indie electronic effort has many textures and faces with danceable thumpers and atmospheric soundscapes. You get to see into the producers soul on this one with a range of spooky spoken wordish vocals a la Underworld with that original Plus 8 minimalism and restraint. It's no surprise that Hot Chip are here for your audio pleasures with sparkling remix of the hit track 'Don and Sherri'.

As an added bonus I decided to add another track to the post here as a little P.S. to you the loyal following. Recently Masaya did a wicked Udon Mix with Gildas Loaec for Kitsune. I saw at his myspace that he was working with one of my favorite house producers and I was chuffed. That favorite tech house producer is Ripperton who describes himself on his myspace as a neo soul electronic producer. His music is sparse and sounds like a bore when played at 5 or even 6....thats why you have to turn it to 10. Its dense, rich and velvet grooves are worth the 10 mins that the track spans. Patience is a virtue folks.Kitsune records is Masaya Kuroki, Patrick Lacey, Gildas Loaec, Benjamin Reichen, Kajsa Stahl and Maki Suzuki.
