Unusual and un-categorizable, James Pants music is a pair of jeans that looks good on anyone, with anything anmd anywhere - blending un-even portions of everything from '80s Soul, Electro Boogie, Early Rap, New Wave, Indie, Lo-Fi, Funk & Post-Punk Disco, making a weird but swallowable style that you appropriately can never put your finger on.
His first single 'We're Through' from the album 'Welcome' is probably the most retroestically fresh track i've heard in a while with it's electronically tribalesque beat, crystallized cowbellism & faggy vocals.

"Next big thing to watch for in 2008"
BUSY P (Daft Punk Manager, Ed Banger)
"Future Shock-era Herbie Hancock, L.A. electro, New Age-y French disco, and Paradise Garage love-funkists Skyy may inform the tracks on Welcome, but while the record borrows from these and other roller-rink-friendly '80s grooves, it's no jukebox-style revue."
XLR8R
"Tracks on Welcome take in everything from electro to 80s soul, new wave and 60s psych, but all of them share the same lo-fi punk aesthetic and are adorned with Pants' unique quirky shouting and falsetto vocals"
DAZED & CONFUSED
The artwork above of the album was done by acclaimed Dutch artist - Parra (who did the Teenage Badgirl artwork) and stay tuned to forthcoming remixes by A-Trak & DJ Mehdi.
