Well hello, long time no see. but thanks to fj I get to post again. So listen up:
Simin Ghanem is an early 70's Persian singer, that is a little bit of Amy Winehouse mixed with Meiko Kaji (Kill Bill Vol. 2 OST) in Persian. She sound something straight out of a Tarantino soundtrack. This woman is straight up fierce, she's one of the only Persian female singers that did not migrate to LA after the Islamic revolution. In her 70's now, she's still going strong and putting on concerts. Don't even get me started on her voice, because it is out of this world.
A compilation album of her titled "Golak Cheshat" is available to download from Itunes. Which by the way, is excellent.
