When the word ‘Filter House/Disco’ is mentioned, immediately pops into my head the names ‘Alan Braxe’ & ‘Fred Falke’. Most of the people I know seem to preferre ‘Alan Braxe’ over ‘Fred Falke’ when I can’t really decide between them because in my opinion their best work comes to light when it’s done by them together.. Funny thing though 90% of their work is made together, yet neither of them has the other on their MySpace top friends nor mention the other’s name there!
Anyhow, Fred Falke’s new ‘Music For My Friends’ EP is out on vinyl today & it’s one of the must have releases for any true fan, it contains 4 spankin new track (see tracklist below), my favorite track is ‘Love Theme’ which pretty much have been played at least 10 times between bedtime & this morning when I woke up, I just love that thick trembling elastic bassline & spherical ambience… I dream of a day when Braxe, Falke & Savage collaborate to make a disco rock album, that would be super wouldn’t it?
