Welsh singer Duffy will release her debut album "Rockferry" on 3 March 2008. She has been declared the Sound of 2008, the New Amy Winehouse, or simply the Welsh Adele.
But she deserves to be declared just Duffy. If this is the first time you've heard of her, it definitely won't be the last!

I think - and as much as she'll say in interviews not to call her this - she's more Dusty Springfield than Winehouse. "Rockferry" made me ball like a baby the very first time I heard it.
I'm sorry guys, but I can't stand this women...or her music. Comes across as really contirved and unatural, like her producers were just trying to tap into a sound that really popular in the UK right now. One word: Bandwagon.
