Accident & Emergency!

A&E (short for “Accident & Emergency”) the lead single from Goldfrapp’s fourth album ‘Seventh Tree’ is your fast-forward cheat to spring. In contrast to the oversexed electro compressions of ‘Supernature’ comes ‘A&E’ a downtempo homage to their Folk & Acoustic roots treating us to another ‘Felt Mountain’ moment, The electronic elements are still present but the live instruments & guitar are overpowering over it while Alison’s glistening, soaring, Goosebumps-generating voice crowns the piece vividly. ‘A&E’ talks about a personal experience in Alison’s life where she sings about a bright blue Saturday after an accident & emergency, though she’s still feeling blue thinking back about it but slowly the pain starts to slip away when the pills start to work.

It’s so beautiful & sense awakening, you’ll be ejaculating warmth by the time it reaches the bridge. Organic & glamorously magnetic.

A&E (February, 11) comes with remixes by “Maps, Gui Boratto, & Hercules and Love Affair”. ‘Seventh Tree’ (February 20th Japan, 25th UK, 26th US), The deluxe CD set will include 4 art cards, a large foldout poster, a lyric book (including reproductions of Alison's handwritten lyrics) and a bonus DVD including a short film about the making of the album and the video for "A&E".

I know the album already leaked but I’m going to resist the temptation & wait till its release date & go buy it. ‘Seventh Tree’ is one of those albums you know before-hand is going to be brilliant & so worth waiting for to enjoy it in the best quality possible.
