“Michael Jackson” is the 2nd single off the new Mitchell Brothres album “Dressed For The Occasion” (which btw contains a song “Slap My Face” featuring “Franz Ferdinand”)!

The Mitchell Brothers asked Calvin Harris to re-produce "Michael Jackson" & Harris rewarded them with a playful, squelchy synth backdrop over which the brothers lay down an un-ironic homage to Jackson, complete with a few comical laughs and "Ow!"s.



Due to both artists preferring the Calvin Harris version they decided to scrap the original and use the remix, however the record label bosses told them to keep the original on the album as they had already paid to have it produced.

The catchy “Michael Jackson” is a reminder of more innocent days when children would stay up late into the night to watch videos of 'The King of Pop” rather than the other way round.
